Gds: Botman just the beginning of €100m spending spree
AC Milan will make significant investments to improve their squad this summer and Sven Botman is just the beginning.
AC Milan are dreaming big on and off the pitch. The Rossoneri club, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, are ready to invest a figure of 100 million euros in the upcoming transfer window. AC Milan plan to improve in every department and make the squad competitive for the next Champions League edition.
The names of Lille duo Sven Botman and Renato Sanches are just the beginning reports Gazzetta. AC Milan have been in contact with the Dutch defender since last year. Paolo Maldini is strongly confident that Botman and Tomori can form AC Milan defensive backbone for the next decade. Personal terms have been agreed long time ago and talks regarding the transfer fee are at an advanced phase.
Reverse situation for Renato Sanches but the same outcome. The Rossoneri have reached an agreed with Lille over a 18 million transfer fee but talks with the player continue. There is still no agreement on base salary and bonuses. However, the arrival of Jorge Mendes to finalize Leao’s renewal will be used to get the parties closer.
AC Milan are paying special attention to the attack. In the last period the Rossoneri have suffered a lot the drought of their forwards. Talks for Divock Origi are quite advanced but he may not be the only centre forward to arrive this summer. AC Milan are very interested in Gianluca Scamacca. He is seen as the ideal player to repalce Ibrahimovic.
Important investments could be made for the signing of a new right winger and attacking midfielder. Berardi, Asensio and Noa Lang have been linked for the right wing. Charles De Ketelaere is the favorite name for the attacking midfielder role. In Belgium De Ketelaere is hailed as De Bruyne’s successor.
